If you play in Ayenee and wandered into a WoD room where someone spammed this site up to explain WoD and you're getting annoyed at me for making this page, let me first explain what I'm planning to do with this page, what I'm not planning to do with this page, and last but not least, who I am

First of all, all I'm really wanting to do with this page is offer a good, plain spoken site that explains exactly what WoD is in relation to Ayenee, and that it's not just another extension of the rules they use there. I want it to be clear and unmistakable, but I'm not aiming to be insulting (though I've gotten quite annoyed at people who seem to come into WoD trolling for arguments. I'm aware that they don't speak for everyone in Ayenee - although some of them try to ^_~.)

I'm not wanting to set myself up as the "ultimate authority on all things WoD" nor am I trying to set up myself or anyone else as an ST (Storyteller - what WoD players call the Game Master who runs things for a tabletop game) who will tell people how to roleplay their already WoD-compatible characters in the freeform settings. That's not the aim of this page.

If you feel that I've insulted you with the wording or information on this site, I sincerely apologize. As I've said, I'm not trying to be insulting, and I'm doing my best to present this information clearly, so people can get the answer they're needing, without wading through ten tons of stuff that they don't care about. If I <i>am</i> insulting, then its through miscommunication, not through genuine intent to be an ass.

As for who I am, my name is Shelley, and if you see me ooc I'm usually in either the Hollow_Shel or Shelley_Alma_Belle identities. I've been playing online (WoD and freeform) since about February of 2001, and have been role playing tabletop for about 18 years now. I've got a number of ID's in chat (both WoD and otherwise - I greatly enjoy some of the freeform fantasy style role playing characters I have, and like sneaking into Ayenee to play them from time to time) that I role play to some extent or another. If you want to talk to me, catch me in the Shelley_Alma_Belle ID and I'm generally free to talk - but I'm a bear of very small brain, and I'm not able to role play and chat at the same time very well, so catching me when I'm in character means I'll be more than a little scatterbrained.
