The Current Age of Greyfeather begins with the Kensak family line, as the land was founded and settled by  King Edward Robert Kensak I, a knight who was shipwrecked on the island and washed ashore some 850 years ago.  Kensak was greeted and befriended by the elven people, who saw him as a kind, benevolent man.  They taught him the elvish language and about the elven customs, then helped him explore the island.  During his twenty-four year journey, Kensak met the heads of all of the racial tribes and clans, forging friendships and treaties that endure to this day in Greyfeather.  By the end of his journey he had developed a good reputation, good enough to be proclaimed King Kensak I of Greyfeather by all of the inhabitants, the first in a long line of Kensak heirs to sit on the throne.

The Current Age is broken into four ages:

The First Age (1 - 94 A.D.) covers the period of time when Kensak I journeyed the land and settled it, as well as the time of Kensak II, when he defended the land against invaders.  It is known as the Age of Discovery (A.D.)

The Second Age (94 - 375 A.H.) covers the period of the reign of Kensak IV, Queen Krystal and Kensak X.   It is known as the Age of Heroes (A.H.)

The Third Age (375 - 825 A.E.) covers the period of time when Lord Bife stole the throne from the Greyfeather people and plunged it into terror.  It is known as the Age of Darkness or the Age of Evil (A.E.)

The Fourth Age (825 - current  A.R.) is the current age, known as the Age of Rebirth (A.R.)  It began when Queen Samantha Kensak ascended the throne.

The Age of Antiquity (-3000 - 1 A.D.) refers to the time before Kensak I.
