Galad Damodred Galad Damodred is the son of Taringail and Tigraine Damodred. The first thing one notices about Galad is his astonishingly good looks. When he trained uner the Warders of the White Tower, Aes Sedai and Accepted filled the practice yards to watch him.
But Galad was more than just a pretty face learning the sword. He was gifted, and was quickly as good as many of those teaching the students. He was the top student in the class, though not far ahead of his half-brother Gawyn Trakand. Gawyn holds Galad in high regard, as Galad saved Gawyn’s life when they were younger. Elayne Trakand , Galad’s half-sister, does not share Gawyn’s feelings. She tends to think that Galad is not even human. This is because Galad never lies, and always does what is right. Galad became interested in the Children of the Light who were guarding Tar Valon after Elaida a’Roihan was raised as the Amyrlin Seat. He joined this militant religious order, and seems destined to rise among the ranks of the Whitecloaks. Much about Galad’s future is unclear. Many seem to believe that he may be the “man in white” that Min foresaw Berelain falling in love with, but that is far from certain. |
