The Boss
Meet Guhonda, alpha male of a family troop on Mount Sabyinyo. Each Gorilla is unique and by referring to the nose photo we were able to recognize some of Guhonda's family. Gorillas resemble humans closely. Only 2% of their DNA differs from us, the most important part being the gene that allows speech.

Super guide and freind of Gorillas A reflective female gorilla

This gentle female was preparing to charge me because I was standing too close to our guide, Francois. He has known this troop of gorillas since he was a child and she considered him part of her troop. Francois grabbed and pulled me back just in time. She made her point!
