Joey was a cadet at Chamberlain-Hunt Military Academy. He grew frustrated with his inability to defeat his lowerclassman nemesis, Jamie, and ran away to the Studs Ranch in New Mexico. Joey's parents kicked him out of the family because they did not approve of his lifestyle.

Joey has recently returned to New Orleans where he attends Tammany Parish High School. He is a manager at Franco's sports complex and works with RJ and Jake.

Before he visited the Studs Ranch, Joey was sneaky and devious. He made an about-face and changed for the better after becoming friends with Sean. Joey lives at Dumaine, Jeff and Sean's townhouse adjacent to Franco's Library.
