Beaumont (TX) -- Ex Put-Downs drummer, Lil' Tommy McMurder, has been located according to sources at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Officials would not comment on the circumstances surrounding McMurder's mysterious re-appearance after being reported missing earlier this year. Officials would however confirm that McMurder was apparently married when found and now has regular sex.

The Southeast Texas punk rock community was stunned when McMurder turned up missing in February of 2000. Many rumors circulated as to what had happened to the oft-multi-color haired young percussionist who was generally well known to almost a lot of people. "He was here the other day. He was locked in the bathroom by himself," said ex-Mcmurder roommate, Scott Eslinger sadly, "I really needed to take a piss and he kept yelling 'just a minute'" That was to be the last time the two friends spoke. Through a crappy bathroom door in a North-end Beaumont rent house.

The most plausible story of the chain of events surrounding the disappearance of Mr. McMurder first surfaced on a sister Put-Downs web site at http://www.oocities.org/putdownstx . Here is what was reported there...

On February 7, 2000, Tom McMurder went on a hiking expedition to Wyoming to relax and enjoy some free time from work and band. Apparently he was kidnapped by bigfoot while deep in the forest. One of his bags was found,
and it had brown hair/fur on it, which everyone knew was McMurder's natural hair color, so there was no way it was his hair.

After search parties found the fur, they decided all hope was lost for McMurder and called off the search. It wasn't until 2 days ago they received a ransom note from bigfoot explaining his demands. Bigfoot asked for $300 and a case of Shiner Bock. Paul J. said asking for a case of Shiner was ridiculous, so Tom McMurder remains a captive of Bigfoot. More news as it develops!

From what little information is available to the media this is what can be pieced together about McMurder's re-emergence,,,

Apparently McMurder escaped from Bigfoot while Bigfoot was taking a killer dump. McMurder ran through miles of of the high plains of Wyoming until being discovered wandering aimlessly in a circle mumbling something about a certain piercing that Bigfoot had ripped out of him. McMurder was found by Meredith who kept him warm and carried him 17 miles on her back to the nearest McDonalds where he was revived with a Sausage McMuffin w/ Egg. McMurder fell in love with his rescuer, married her, and dragged her back to Texas. The happy couple now resides in Port Neches, TX.
