Reath

Reath a world between realities and dimensions. Ruled by gods, magic and mystical creature both good and evil. On the continent of Tellene in the Kingdoms of Kalamar you find yourself on the streets of a large port city called Katasha.

Katasha used to be a respectable city with an elected lord that rules the city and surrounding area like a King. But for some years now Katasha has had an influx of crime and poverty into its great walls, and with the death of the Noble Lord Arun the citizens became afraid to even live their homes at night. Goblins and others of their kind have been entering the city and plaguing the citizens. The new Lord of Katasha has just been elected. Though no one knows from where he came from or who he is, and none of the upper class claim to have voted for him. He rules Katasha firmly and crime has dropped since he toke office.

While there has always been a market for slave in Katasha, over the years the slave trade has started to grow darker and more sinister, in Katasha now men, women, and other races are bought and sold in one of the cities many markets. Slaves can be used in many different ways from competing in gladiator fights to house hold jobs, from working on a farm to working in the bedroom. Some people have disappeared only to turn up later on the slave market, local brothels, or the fighting pits.

A group of merchants and wealthy people have hired you to look into the trouble in Katasha. They have paid you well to protect their interest and find out what is the cause of all the problems. Now the rumors of the return of "The Bound One" are running amok.

Goblins have token over the city, ogres are prowling the alleys, and the city guard is over matched to fight off the hoards of crime. Everything from rape to murder is common place now as the Bound One is wakening.

Evil is taking over Katasha and if you do not stop it soon it will spread through out the world of Reath.

Updates

Upon arriving in the fame coastal city of Katasha, Brin, Leleanna, and Alaric knew something was wrong. Then in the middle the afternoon in a merchant square one of the public slave traders were attacked. The would be champions joined the fray in an attempt to protect the innocent.

This is who they met Theo, a captain in the city guard. Theo realizing what kind of people they were let them go and sent them to the "Drunken Pony". A brothel hidden in the poor part of the city. The "Pony" is owned by Bradley, Theo.'s younger brother, and Lizbeth, Bradley's wife.

Soon they learn the Brad used to be a member of the thieves guild where he met Lizbeth who was a prostitute for the beggars guild. It was then when Alindie fell into their laps while escaping from a band of thieves and hobgoblins.

Theo hearing what Alindie knew about the now dead Lord of Katasha hires them as his own eyes and ears, and sends them to check out certain rumors and secrets he could not do.

Alaric went to the mage's guild where, in their great library, he found hints towards the truth of the bound one and some of what evil was befalling the city. When he left to rejoin his friends he was attacked by evil mage's, but survived with the help of Vinetea a Spanish maiden rogue.

Leleanne went to the temple that was sur pose to had arrange the burial of the formal lord only to discover that in reality it was an evil temple dedicated to Nurell god of torment and undead. There she found a thief attempting to make off with a bronze stature of said god and they were both attacked by undead creature and barely escaped with their lives.

Brin and Alindie went to the Blood Fangs to find out what they knew of the evil in the city. Little did they know that the Blood fangs were a key part of the downfall of Katasha. They were both captured, Brin was sent to an underground gladiator pit and Alindie was sent to the bed chamber of the leader of the blood fangs.

Brin was forced to fight in the pits where he did battle with a man named Paul. He killed Paul and was returned to his cell and rewarded with the slave girl Aerial. Later that night Brin and Aerial managed to escape their cell and found themselves back in the Blood Fang’s hotel, where Alindie had escaped with Lia, who also was brought to the guild leader as a gift.

The rest of the group found out the Blood Fangs were responsible for all the problems in Katasha, and went to their lair to defeat them. There they met with Brin and Alindie and did battle with the Fangs and one of their lieutenants, a dark elf.

The dark elf escaped and went to the location of the bound one ritual where several virgins of magical blood were being held for sacrifice to free the bound one. The bound one needed the blood of virgins to open its magical prison and return its power. The heart of Brin was to be used to increase it strength. With the help of the group and a Paladin, named Ward, the bound one and the dark elf were destroyed.

While the devil Kryton was no more the evil it’s presence released showed on the city. All the dark drawlers and creature that had been hiding in the city came out to cause havoc. The team managed to make it back to the “Pony” with some of the freed virgins, one of which turned out to be Theo’s lost love who he thought killed by marauders.

During the battle to the “Pony” the druid Dianthe become missing as well as the slave Aerial. Later Aerial was found beaten up in an alley, and told the story of a group of goblins capturing Dianthe. Retarke taw rogue went in such of Dianthe and the goblins, but found nothing.

The team decided to head for the manor house where a wagon full of slaves was seen heading. Now they are in a secret tunnel that may lead beneath the manor house in hopes to find Dianthe and end the siege on Katasha.
