Introduction
: A

brass inlaid and ingeniously lacquered articles both decorative
and funcltional are produced with the fine standard of hereditary
craftsmanship in the sectior of wood crafts. Of them popular are
center tables, side tables, nest of table sets,sofa sets chest of
drawers, cigarette boxes, jewellery boxes, dry fruit bowls, salad
bowls, trays, partition screens, wall plaques mugs, egg cups, spoon
and forks, chess boards, book ends, vases, jars, candle stands,
folk toy etc.
The woods include
Shisham, walnut, and Bhan. Modern shapes and styles embellished
and ornamented with luster of traditional designs and motifs afford
the articles of trends of functionalism and traditionalism and also
the flexiblity of being fit into contemporary way of life.
