Minimum Tank Size and/or Tank Type= A 20G (75L), Community Tank Favourite Foods= Live & Artifical foods Other Info= I keep this fish in one of my tanks, until I put bigger fish in the tank, they were nipping the fins of most of the fish, I still find a nip fin now and then. Breeding Info= TANK: With a 12G (50L) capacity and a spawning grid. GENDER: The male is smaller and black, whereas the female is silvery with a smoky tinge. BREEDING RATIO: 1 Male : 1 Female; in individual pairs or in a group. BREEDING WATER: 24C (76F); pH of 6.5-7; dCH < 2 OTHER BREEDING INFO: In capativity the fish spawning in a few pairs or as many as several dozens of pairs in 12-51G (50-200L). Regular spawning of this fish makes the females more prolific. After spawning, remove the parent fish and lower the water column to 3.93" (10CM). In this manner it is possible to rear many thousands of young fish providing the fry are given sufficient amounts of live dust food, you should feed the fry nauplii of brine shrimp or Cyclops.
