Origin= Thailand, South Vietnam, Malay Peninsula and the Greater Sunda Island

Scientific Name= Brachygobius doriae

Max. Size= 1.18" (3CM)

Temperature= 22-29C (72-86F)

Temperment= Suitable in the community tank because of its small size. It will eat small babies though.

Minimum Tank Size and/or Tank Type= A 10G (40L, monospecies tank, but you can put it in a community tank.

Favourite Foods= Live foods

Other Info= This is a Brackish water fish.

Breeding Info= TANK: With 5G (20L) capacity, cavaties and overhangs on the bottom.

GENDER: Inperceptible

BREEDING RATIO: 1 Male : 1 Female

BREEDING WATER: 26-30C (80-88F); pH of 7-8.5; dCH max. 4; dGH 20-30; add 1 tablespoon NaCL for every 2.5G (10L) of water and filter through activated charcoal.

OTHER BREEDING INFO: The female deposits 100-150 eggs on the roof of a cavaity, the spawning site is cared for by the male. The eggs are whitish, tear-drop shaped, the incubation period is about 120-144 hours (5-6 days). The newly-hatched fry do not have a yolk sac and take food right away, it is difficult, but you should feed them rotatoria, finest Cyclops, and brine shrimp nauplii.
