The eggs are about 0.9mm, the incubation period is about 19 hours. The tank should be kept absolutely clean and freshwater should be added in ample amounts during the growing period because the young fish are very sensitive to the concentration of nitrites in the water. The fry should also be gradually conditioned to carbonate hardness; when they are five days old start adding ordinary tapwater, first in small doses, later in larger amounts. Your should feed the fry nauplii of brine shrimp of Cyclops nauplii.
