| The Long Journey Home - Chapter 2 Well, I'm pretty amazed if you've made it this far! Just as Brutus was about to grab Titanicus, Titanicus broke free and continued swimming through the plants, being the small guppy that he was he hid in an underwater flower. Brutus eventually gave up looking for Titanicus and went after the closest fish to him, which happened to be Jack. Who did not look happy, "Listen up, Bub!" said Jack, "Your not the first to attack us, I've had it with big fish who think they can push us around, Well I'm going to let you have it." Jack bit down on Brutus' tail fin, "Owww" yelled Brutus. Brutus snapped back at Jack, it was a devastating blow. Jack was obviously hurt badly, so bad that Jack was bleeding and was having a lot of trouble moving. Then Brutus looked to be moving in for the kill, he was just about to bite Jack around his head, then Bala Shark did his patented ramming move, which completely threw Brutus off. This made Brutus very mad, he decided to go after Sparklz, who did not look to fast. He whacked Sparklz with his long body, which hurt Sparklz badly. Brutus then pinned Sparklz down, he was just about to make what would be a fatal blow, when Jack mustered up all of his remaining strength and bit Brutus badly. This made Brutus furious, he whacked and shoved Jack, Brutus started biting him furiously. Bala Shark, Umfish and Herman were trying to get Brutus off of Jack, but it was useless. "Get off of me, you big oaf!" yelled Jack, Then with all his (Jack) might, he took a big bite out of Brutus. This made Brutus all the angrier; it also hurt him badly. There was nothing on Brutus' mind, except to teach Jack a lesson. Brutus then took a big bite out of Jack, Jack was just about finished, he had nothing left, except one last attack. He took one last bite of Brutus, that bite was the worst for Brutus. Brutus decided that it was time to leave, even though he had almost finished off Jack. He swam off before anybody could come after him. Jack was in tough shape, he could barely move. "Jack! Are you okay?" asked Titanicus, "No, I'm not, Ouch!" said Jack, "Jack! You saved me!" said Sparklz; "You don't look so good." Bala Shark swam forward and said "Jack, are you going to be okay?" "I don't know, I hurt really bad" said Jack, "Jack, your bleeding!!!" said Titanicus, "I don't think I'm going to make it" said Jack "Don't give up, Jack" said Bala Shark. They all stayed with Jack, his condition was worsening as time went on, they all urged Jack not to give up, but Jack was hurt too badly. "Bala Shark?" called Jack, "Yes, Jack" said Bala Shark, "Don't give up on the journey, I'm sorry I couldn't help you further" said Jack, "We couldn't have made it here without you" Bala Shark said, "Thank you, Jack, you served us well," Jack was then slowly passed away. All of the fishes were very sad, they were mourning the loss of their friend, they buried him under some gravel. They decided that it was time to move on, then a familiar look fish greeted them, at least it was familiar to Zaurusman, the familiar looking fish was a Platy. "Hi Zaurusman!" said the familiar looking fish, "Qwerty? Is that you?" asked Zaurusman, "Yep!" "Qwerty!" said Zaurusman, "It's great to see you!" "You too!" "Everybody, I would like you to meet one of my old pals, Qwerty" said Zaurusman, "Nice to meet you, Qwerty" said Titanicus. "Like wise to all of you" said Qwerty, "So what are you doing out here, Qwerty?" asked Zaurusman, "What am I doing here?" said Qwerty, "I've lived here for years!" "What? Hey guys, that means we're home!" said Zaurusman, "Yeah!" said Qwerty, "Where were you anyway?" "Well, somebody caught us and we managed to escape, we have been trying to get back home" said Zaurusman, "But along the way a Piranha, a giant Catfish and a Black Ghost Knifefish tried to eat us. We also lost a good friend along the way", "That's too bad, What was his name? Maybe I know him", "You probably don't know him, his name was Jack, he was a Jack Dempsey" said Zaurusman. "Nope, never heard of him" said Qwerty, "If we didn't have that guy that died, we probably would not of made it home, we owe him a lot of thanks", "He sounds as though he was brave" said Qwerty, "Come on, come see your old friends", "Okay!" said Zaurusman, So they had made their journey home, they had all made it home or to there new home, except Jack, who to this day, is praised as a great hero. |
