Taurus

If you look toward Auriga, you will see two stars that actually form part of the box. These are the horns of the bull. Follow Auriga through these two stars and you'll see a "V". The brightest of the "V" is Aldebaran. The rest of the "V" is the Hyades open cluster, all of them actually related to each other. Create Go back to the firs two stars and draw a line to Aldebaran, turn 90 degrees and you won't miss the Pleiades, possibly the greatest of all celestial sights.

Aldebaran

A red giant star. It is not part of the Hyades cluster.

Pleiades

The Pleiades are a young group of stars about 400 light years away. The stars of the Pleiades are only a few million years old.

Hyades

The Hyades is much older, and much more spread apart then the Pleiades. But like the Pleiades, all of the clusters stars once started out being very close to each other.
