Fall 2004

9/26 - Voter Registration through NEAT

10/5 – Participation in a Blood Drive, sponsored the American Red Cross.

10/26 - Halloween Halls; in this event, Middletown youth come and trick-or-treat through the dorms of Wesleyan University. We participated as tour guides as well as distributors of candy.

10/28 - Student of Color (SOC) Take Back the Night Pre-Forum (part of planning committee)

11/11 – Distribution of National Awareness Pamphlet in dining facilities and placement of folders containing pamphlets in restrooms.

11/14 – Movie Showing of “G.I. Jane,” with profits going towards the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

11/17 - Adoption Forum to raise awareness about adoption.

11/22 – 11/30 – placement of resource materials on adoption around campus.

11/20 – L Psi D Thanksgiving Dinner, hosted at Wesleyan University

11/20 – “Diamond Fire,” a dance party with profits going to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

11/7 – “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best-Friend” Informational

12/8 – Participation in the Festival of Lights Celebration (part of planning committee and Soror Vladrose Petit-Frere did a reading).

12/9 – Lecture by Professor Namni Goel on depression, including a discussion on Seasonal Affective Disorder.

12/12 - Showing of “ Philadelphia” with profits going to the Oasis Center

Throughout March - Daffodil Days, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

4/4 - 4/9 - Sexual Assault Awareness Week:

4/4 – 4/8 - Ribbon-Posting Ribbons were posted for those who have been sexually assaulted or if you know someone who has.  

4/4 – 4/8 - Sexual Assault Tabling Information provided on sexual assault and sexual assault prevention.  

4/6 - Sexual Assault Themed Vespers People came to share, listen, and support those who had been sexually assaulted. Prayer flags will also be made. Dinner will be served.  

4/7 - How can I Prevent Sexual Assault? Workshop  

4/8 – RAINN Dance! A party to raise money for RAINN, which stands for Rape, Assault, & Incest National Network

5/1 - National Service Event: MS Walk

5/3 – Theta Chapter of Lambda Psi Delta Sorority, Inc. receives the Mosaic Award in honor of their service to Wesleyan University .
