Some kids grew up reading stories like "The Wizard of Oz" and "Alice Through the Looking Glass", but I was 'reading' "Cranston Thorndike and the Dragon". The "book" is actually one of those read-along books that so many are fond of, but it includes more pictures than complete dialog. It came with a tape that had a complete radio-style story on it, and you could follow along in the book at some points, but the book was mostly there to give you vivid pictures of what was going on in the story.
