WUNDERKAMMER
TRIO
is
an Italian chamber ensemble (piano, violin, cello) whose repertoire is
dedicated to 20th century's music.
We play classical works and also our original transcriptions of Astor
Piazzolla, Kurt Weill, Michael Nyman, Ryuichi Sakamoto
and others contemporary composers.
We would like to invite you to explore our world by selecting from the topics
alongside which we hope you will find of interest.
MICHAEL
NYMAN
Several
works of Michael Nyman transcribed for piano trio are included in Wunderkammer
Trio's instrumental repertoire.
For instance the amazing waltz "Sheep
and tides", the minimalism of "Time
lapse" and
"Drowning
by numbers".
ASTOR
PIAZZOLLA
The
undisputed master of the modern Tango, what he called "Tango Nuevo".
From Wunderkammer you could hear 15 unpublished works like an astonishing
version of "Libertango",
"Sur:regreso
al amor" and "Los
pajaros perdidos".
RYUICHI
SAKAMOTO
Few musicians have a career as rich and
diverse as Sakamoto's. He creates music with a unique style that combines
western, classical, symphonic composition, Japanese traditional sounds and
experimental electronic music. One for all the inspired film scores for the
soundtrack to Bernardo Bertolucci's "The
sheltering sky".
KURT
WEILL
From
German cabaret to American musical, one of the most talented composer of 20th
century. "I'm a stranger here myself", "One life to
live" and other songs have been orchestrated by Wunderkammer Trio for
voice, piano, violin and cello.
