Baby Anna Vasana

Susan and I expected our little Anna on November 20, 2002.  She was born three days before the due date.  It was full moon in a cold and clear night.  We snuggled up on the couch in our apartment and watched On the Waterfront movie, starring Marlon Brando.  After the movie, we retired to bed.  I played the musical box for Anna and said a prayer for her.  Susan and I talked to her for awhile, and she responded to our touch.  Around 1:55 a.m., Susan felt her first contraction which grew stronger each time.  We phoned the doctor and headed for Baptist Medical Center Hospital in Jacksonville Beaches.  Susan was remarkable and remained calm the entire time.  She was fully dilated at 4:45 a.m.  Dr. Samuel Christian delivered Anna naturally at 5:13 a.m.
