Return to Nitro Archive
(Live from the Skyreach Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, WWWCW presents Monday Nitro! Last night at Canadian Stampede, Death Warrent captured the World Heavyweight Title from Johnny Canuck, when Ryan Kaige made his return, hitting the Corrupted Assault on the Millennium Man. Hopefully tonight on Nitro, we'll find out why Ryan Kaige appeared at Canadian Stampede, after losing a retirement match to Johnny Canuck on August 13th. The show kicks off with a promo, showing still's of last night's Canadian Stampede PPV)
("No Chance" hits the speakers, and the fans rise to their feet, cheering the man they see on the Nitron; Markus Maltby. Markus steps out from behind the curtain, and the Skyreach Center erupts. Markus walks down to the ring, shaking hands with fans in the aisle. He enters the ring, takes a mic out of his pocket, and begins to speak)
Markus: Last night, at Canadian Stampede, the whole world was witness to one of the biggest screw jobs the 3WCW has seen in a long time. Ryan Kaige, with no regard to the retirement stipulations he lost to back on August 13th, at Clash of the Champions IV, walked into Calgary, and stole the World Title from Johnny Canuck's grasp.
(Suddenly, "Wake up" by Rage Against the Machine hits the speakers again, and the Edmonton crowd erupts in boos for the man walking to the ring, Ryan Kaige! Kaige enters the ring, and takes a mic out of his back pocket)
Markus: Kaige, you son of a bitch. You dont work here anymore. You made the stipulations against Johnny Canuck, and you lost. You're out of the 3WCW, Kaige. You're not allowed to be on this show, and I dont want you on this show.
Kaige: You're right Markus, you're right. I did lose to Johnny Canuck, and the stipulations say I'm retired. However, I didn't like being retired, so I decided to come back.
Markus: Well that's all fine and dandy Kaige, but you dug your own hole, and I'm not helping you out of it by signing you to a new contract.
Kaige: I understand. But you dont have to sign me to a new contract. Someone's already done that.
Markus: *laughs* Well, the only person that can do that, other than me is-
(Suddenly, "No Chance" hits the speakers again, and the Edmonton crowd erupts in boos for the man in the Nitron video, Eric Maltby! Markus is shown in the ring in shock. Eric heads to the ring, with a cocky look on his face. He enters the ring, and takes Kaige's mic)
Eric: Markus, since you've been playing god with the 3WCW, stripping titles, and not allowing Ryan Kaige to come back, after the Munno/Waeltz regime, I decided to play the anti-christ, and bring back Ryan Kaige.
Markus: But-
Eric: But nothing. The retirement clause terminated Kaige's old contract. I gave him a new one. As for your boy Johnny Canuck-
("Voodoo Child" by Jimi Hendrix hits the speakers, and the Edmonton crowd goes crazy. Johnny Canuck comes out, and walks to the ring. He enters the ring, and takes the mic out of his back pocket)
JC: It seems what we've got here is Markus Maltby playing God, and Eazy E playing the Anti-Christ. Kaige, I've taken you out of the 3WCW before, and tonight, I'm gonna do it again. By costing me the World Title last night, you proved you're not a man of your word. But tonight, I'll prove I'm a man of mine, and Kaige, I will kick your ass! Yo-
(Just then, Death Warrent comes out from the crowd, enters the ring, and nails Johnny Canuck in the back of the head with the World Title. Kaige and Death Warrent then begin stomping Canuck. 3WCW officials run to the ring, and separate Warrent and Kaige from Johnny Canuck. Eric Maltby, Death Warrent, and Ryan Kaige are walking backstage, when Johnny Canuck, struggling to get to his feet, grabs a mic)
JC: Death Warrent, you just proved your balls are the same size as your brain. Tonight, I want both your asses in the ring. I dont care if it's a handicapped match or not, I want you Kaige, and you Death Warrent in this ring tonight. Mark my words ladies, tonight, I'm gonna show you who your daddy is!
(Eric Maltby, Ryan Kaige, and Death Warrent head up the stage, laughing at Johnny Canuck, accepting his challenge. Nitro cuts to commercial)
(Nitro comes back from commercial, to Johnny Canuck and Markus Maltby backstage. Markus tells Johnny Canuck that he's stupid if he thinks he can beat both Death Warrent and Kaige at the same time. JC pays no attention to Markus, pushing him out of the way, and heading towards his dressing room)
Schiavone: Fans, what we have seen cannot be described in words. Ryan Kaige has been reinstated by Eric Maltby, son of Markus Maltby. And this comes after Markus strictly told Death Warrent, that he would not be reinstating Ryan Kaige, under any circumstances, Mark...
Madden: And now tonight, Johnny Canuck has challenged both Death Warrent and Ryan Kaige to a handicapped match! Looks like a Canadian Stampede all over again, in a literal sense, Tony.
Schiavone: Also tonight, Bossman takes on Extreme Vic, Lazerus battles Crypt Keeper in a Title vs Title match, and X-Treme and Shamrock get another shot at eachother tonight
("Whatever" by Godsmack hits the speakers, and Rage makes his way down to the ring, for tonight's first match)
