2004 - A very active year overall in terms of tornadoes. Starting off quiet, the tornado season finally got quick-started in mid-May, and never let up afterwards. Several chasers recorded record years, as May-June spun off several cyclical, fertile, isolated tornadic supercells, day after day. A record number of tornadoes struck in Aug-Sept due to hurricanes, and the fall season continued active. (NOTE: I WAS JUST STARTING OFF MY WX CAREER IN 2004, AND THUS, THERE IS NOT MUCH DATA AVAILABLE.)

2005 - Though May turned out fairly quiet (with the exception of the beginning of the month), June was very active, featuring several cases of powerful, isolated cyclical tornado-producing supercells. November featured an onslaught of tornado outbreaks which were responsible for most of the tornado-related deaths during 2005.

After the first half of May, tornado season pretty much ended, with the exception of a few outbreaks in the Mississippi River Valley in the second half of the year. (Note: Due to time constraints, some big events in 2006 were not captured, such as the St. Louis derecho on July 19, the April 6 outbreak in KS, and the April 13 outbreak in Iowa.
