-- STEP 2  --
RUNNING MATERIAL

Turn the water flow on. It should look like a babbling brook not a raging torrent.
Adjust the angle and water flow till you get it how you want it.

Now slowly start spooning your black sand into the top of the sluice.
allow the material to work its way down the sluice before adding more.
You can hear the material running down the sluice I use this as an indicator
as to when to feed more blacksand. When I don't hear the material running
down the sluice any more its time to put in another spoon full.
The material can be wet or dry. If the material is dry I suggest putting a drop
or two of dish soap in the water if you are useing a recycling method. This will
keep the gold from floating out the sluice which it tends to do when the
blacksand is dry.

Ocen you have spooned in quite a bit of material and the sluice has a lot of material in
the riffels rcok the sluice back and forth to hepl clean out the sluice.
After you have spooned in all the blacksand spend a bit of time doing this,so you will
have less material when you are finished.
