STORYTELLER #1
Jim Osborne is a handsome, "Good Chum of a Guy," who was born in Lander and raised on the Wind River Indian Reservation. He and his wife Thora, lived in the state of Washington where they raised two fine sons who have given them six grandchildren. After the boys were grown Jim and Thora moved to Ethete where they are purveyors of great food at the Chokecherry Café. The café is known as the biggest and best (and only) eating establishment on the Reservation. They have opened up their café and their home as a meeting place for the Girl Scouts and various other volunteer groups. No one ever leaves without a piece of Thora’s cheesecake or a new joke from Jim.
Jim’s Great Grandfather, Perry Plenty Bear. Was a Sub Chief of the Arapahoe Tribe and a relator of history. Like Perry Plenty Bear, Jim weaves tales of former days with colorful characters like the little Indian girl named Buffalo Nose. His stories tell of life’s lessons, will tickle your funny bone, and bring wonderment to your heart.
STORYTELLER #2
Bert Bresach was born and raised in the LA area. He grew up riding motorcycles with the Hell’s Angels because his father was a member. One of his most rewarding life experiences was doing prison ministries working with kids who had committed violent crimes.
Bert is the proud father of 10 children who boast that he is a "great father figure." He moved to Wyoming 15 years ago where he is a beekeeper and conducts tours for Bryant Honey in Worland. Bert is a DJ, storyteller, published author, and works with the Sacred Land Educational Presentation promoting Native American projects from coast to coast.
Bert is an avid fan of the Girl Scout program because it promotes making good choices in life. He has a dynamic ability to spin a tale entwined with positive messages, and like the Pied Piper, will have all of the girls singing "do wa ditty ditty" with him.
