I started seeing beauty in everything from the lowly anthill in the backyard to the glittering night sky; from the simple scribblings of a two-year old to the digital complexity of the internet; from the emotion evoked by a poem to the chilling awe of a crimson sunset.

Once I started acknowledging the beauty in everything, I realized that life is a card-game, and we are only dealt part of the deck... the rest we already hold.  We just need to figure out how to use what is dealt to us to augment what we already have.

I did not "find" religion, true love or reality-altering substances.

Instead, I simply found beauty and a lust for life.  Something most of us have when we are small children, but we tend to lose as we "mature"  into socially-conscious adults.  How simple can it be to enjoy what life has to offer?

When was the last time you laughed while swinging wildly on a park swingset?  How often do you chase your friends or loved-ones through a park playing tag or having tickle-wars?  Do you remember the awe of watching "shooting stars" streaking through the midnight sky?  Do you ever get up early on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons simply for the sheer unspoiled joy of it?

Enough of the seriousness, though.  This WyrdWyrld mini-site and the soon-to-be-launched WyrdWyrld.Org are intended to be places where people can see and share the joys of life.  To get acquainted with the site layout and offerings, maybe you should check out one of the areas that you already enjoy or are familiar with.  Later, move on to new experiences and see what else life has to offer you.  Most importantly... ENJOY the sights, sounds, sensations and stories.

One more thing before you start your exploration... Inasmuch as I can share my adventures with you, I hope that you will share yours with me and other visitors.  If you have a story, photos or just information on a fantastic location that belongs in these pages, email me and let me know.

How to participate in this site by submitting your own beauty...

Hopefully all of us have many beautiful and/or thrilling experiences to share with others, so don't be stingy, and share with everyone else!

I want this site to be a place where people can turn to find a new adventure, a new location, a new perspective on life, or simply a new way to experience something already familiar.

So, send me your stories, photos, writings, top-ten lists or recommendations for any of the topics covered on this site.  I will review them and hopefully find a place for them to be displayed to all who visit.

Or, if you think there should be an additional subject covered on this site, drop me a hint or ten and let me know why... I'm always open to change and new experience as well!

Please keep your submissions to less than 2MB total (should be easy, but watch the pics!), and photos should be in JPG format... I will resize or compress them as necessary to display.  And I will always ask permission to shorten or otherwise edit submissions before I post them (just in case!).
