| The guild,
while based on some fundamental beliefs, still has different views in areas
and so has within itself different political views. This difference is
used to determine things like guild colors and even guild organizational
structure.
When a member is inducted into the main body of the guild, it is most common that the member will initially try to follow the strictest codes of the guild. It is because of this that the default state of any new member is to be part of the Alpha alignment. As the member asserts his identity in the guild, he may end up on either of the two sections; the Alpha or Bravo portion of the guild. It is most common that the member finds himself to be aligned with the Bravo team, as this section tends to encompass more of the benevolent player population. The Alpha team are for most purposes considered the conservative portion of the guild. They try to uphold all of the virtues in the strictest sense. They place importance on guild workers and craftsmen, and look to develop the overall capacity for the guild by investing in its members’ trade skills. The Alpha warriors and adventurers train in the Ordo Tacticum, and focus on group coordination. 90% of the guild craftsmen are Alpha’s. They favor smaller, more focused guilds, and look for the right attitude and participation over individual skill. Members who remain Alpha’s after developing guild identity usually end up being knighted and/or retain seats in the guild council. For most, it is harder to remain a self-denying Alpha than to move on to another sector. Alpha’s develop a deeper sense of commitment to the guild vision, and usually become more involved in guild decisions than Bravo’s. Alpha members wear the original blue and white guild colors, with some black accents. The majority of the guild’s main body are Bravo team. Most casual players, die hard hunters, and general friends are part of Bravo. Bravo members, while helpful, do not dedicate as significant amounts of time in developing guild tradesmen as they do adventurers. They usually contribute to the guild in the form of gold and hunts, and place less emphasis on tradesmen and guild annex development. Bravo embodies what makes up most benevolent guilds, friends, hunting, and martial training. They are more inclined towards individuality and broader acceptance, and are looked at as more liberal than the strict-honor driven Alpha traditionalists. Bravo members favor less organization and in general, larger sized guilds. Bravo members will wear anything from guild blue and white, to all black or gold and white. |
