HOMEWORLD
Andor, sometimes called Andoria, is known for its excellent mountain-climbing areas. It is also an important artistic center and home to the Andorian Academy of Art. Andor and Vulcan are in neighboring star systems.
BIOLOGY
Physically, Andorians are a distinctive species. They have blue skin, antennae, and white hair. Andorian antennae, extensions of the nasal cavity, range in form from thick and knobby to thin, but all are capable of bending toward a target.
CULTURE
Andorian culture is militaristic and violent. Wedding ceremonies require four partners. The Andorian zabathu is a riding animal similar to the horse. Andorian Ale and tuber roots are well-known Andorian foods. Until at least 2151, the Andorians did not possess transporter technology, though they did have warp drive.
HISTORY
The Andorian Empire had long-standing hostilities with Vulcans in the early 22nd Century. Humans made first contact with them in 2151. Andor was a founding member of the Federation in 2161. When the Dominion conquered Betazed in 2374, it was feared that they could then strike Andor.
