Bad Blood

"I know a lot of people didn't like 'Bad Blood' because they felt Vince Gilligan let them down because there was no shippiness, but I'd hope everyone could look past that and see that this episode was a wonderful break from the serious! I was laughing so hard during this! Vince Gilligan can easily be named the next generation "Darin Morgan", because, after 'Small Potatoes' and this, he's definetly proven himself a great comedy writer. Mark Snow's lighter music made this episode all the more memorable, although, to me, the highlight of this episode was David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. This was GA at her funniest, everyone. Just her whiny tone at the beginning of Mulder's version of events and little mocking glances that she added while Mulder would be giving some big intellectual lecture were priceless, and let's not forget David Duchovny. DD's facial expressions, and hyperness during Scully's version of events showed us a new extreme of Mulder that we would have never thought of. It seemed as though both Duchovny and Anderson enjoyed the chance to explore new extremes of their characters, and this enjoyment was all the more beneficial for the audience. I would go into a list of things I liked about this episode, but I'd take up all the space on the page, so instead I'll just close this note by saying 'Bad Blood' got a ten from be because it was a real X-File that achieved it's goal of being funny. My thumbs up to Vince Gilligan. Oh, and I must add, I can't wait till next week. Didn't I tell everyone Krycek would be back? Rock on, Ratboy!!!! "

"Next time, try Pizza Hut. This episode's writing is like a slashed mental artery.. a steady stream of ideas..with plenty to suck on..making this one of the series best..and as far as I'm concerned..this season of the X-Files as a whole has been more consistently thought provoking and innovative than ever. I'm staking my money on the X-Files movie. Can't wait to see what kind of mad bat wing flapping lighting effects, disturbing transformational special effects, and Bela Lugosi black cape unfolding plot lines are produced there. A season like this is proportionally huge in it's encouragment for the eternal life span of the X-Files. (However, a word of warning to Fox, don't drain this show of every last drop of it's blood, and let it sleep in it's video case before sunrise, or it will be reduced to dust.) How could you not love Mulder and Scully on a Magic Fingers bed? A tired Scully plopping organs and unruly intestines in a scale? Mulder trying to handcuff a coffin? ...why you'd have to be one of the undead."

"Darin Morgan resurected!!! Whoever wrote this is a genius. It was extremely funny and enjoyable. This has been exactly as enjoyable as all of DM's previous episodes. My favorite part was when Mulder let Scully stay with the sheriff (show's that they are friends after all, and that they have no interest romanticly in each other). Great plot and interesting ending. I wish there could have been more with Skinner, but I suppose there will be more of him next week. This is a good episode to ease us into a mythology episode, can't wait till next week."

"This episode deserves a perfect 10! I have never gotten such a kick out of X-Files before! The story told her way and his way was brillant. I think that Scully was finally allowed to show that she is talented when it comes to delivering comedy. Loved it!"
