It is a feature of cities of the Irekei, such as Khar Th'Sekt, that spaces are not only defined by structures (like the Temple of the Dark Wyrm) or fixtures (like the hurino, the well, the loom, and so on) but by the spaces between other structures (such as the 'gap' between two tents). Sometimes they are as subtle and fluid as the circle of light that will be cast at night by this torch. Differently designed torches are indicative of different purposes for the circle of light cast by them. Just after sundown, travellers just arrived in the city will meet within the sphere of this torch to share news with those having arrived from other directions, as hinted by the 'points' on the top of the bowl.
As so many beautiful things in Khar Th'Sekt, this torch is made of wrought iron. It burns palm oil from the deep resevoir of its hollow stem.
