The very top-center of the roof of the Temple rises on four masonry pillars above the tent-fabric portion of the roof, and light and air are let in (and heat allowed to escape) through a clerestory opening barred on all four sides with wrought-iron. This is very important to the atmosphere of the Temple, as we shall see in the following pages.
