The peoples of ancient Mexico had a large variety of flutes and whistles, from small whistles which imitate bird calls, to large flutes which can have four barrels that can be played simultaneously.

Danzas de Aztlan carries a variety of flutes which are played during dances as well as during musical performances. Clay and bamboo flutes can be played at different scales, and multiple barrel flutes can play a large range of notes. We have screaming whistles, as well as three-holed flutes which can play up to 12 notes.

Danzas de Aztlan also uses Native American flutes.

We feature clay and bamboo Pre-Colombian flutes made by master flute maker Xavier Quijas Yxayotl
