Do comic artists go to a special class to learn how to not show naughty bits?

In Wolverine 166, Marvel re-tells the "Weapon X" story, which as you probably know involves lots of scenes of our Wolvie running around in the snow nude.  This issue in particular looks like somebody was trying to do a thesis on "How many ways can we draw Wolvie nude without showing the Wolvie McNuggets".  Although there's only one scan here, they show every angle but the angle of the dangle!
