          | UXM 294: Warren as a ‘heckuva date'! There's a
soft place in my heart for Angel. Of all the X-Men, I'll admit I
like the original team the best, and Angel is just plain wonderful
to look at. | UXM 306: Angel and Jean; "free fall" - this wonderful
sequence is one of my favorites, beautifully rendering both mutants
at play and the long-standing friendship (and touch of something
more) betweeen Warren and Jean. |

          | UXM 308: Hank (the Beast) starts a leaf fight
with the other X-Men - a special moment, and one of all-too-few
              lighthearted times. Hank "The Beast" McCoy is one of my favorites;
despite being covered with fur, he has hung onto his sense of humor.
The Beast is one of the most level-headed of the X-Men. He certainly
deserves a better girlfriend than that awful Trish person. (Are
you listening, Marvel?) | UXM 274: Nice picture of Rogue and Magneto in
the Savage Land story; Rogue has a somewhat sultry look here. (Almost
-kiss inside, too.) This spark seems to have gone by the wayside
now; not even a hint of it from him in their recent encounter with
Magneto (see events up to and including "Magneto Rex"). |

          | UXM 244: Storm dancing with a Chippendale (male
stripper). It isn't often that Storm/Ororo lets go like this. | UXM 245: Wolvie kissing Ororo. He also ‘kissed'
her once while saving her from drowning, although I can't find the
issue at the moment. Still, they're just friends. |

          | | |

          | UXM 242: Logan kissing Jean Grey. Logan/Wolverine
once loved Jean, but gave up on her once she and Scott/Cyclops got
married. This kiss occurred when Wolvie saw her again for the first
time after her supposed death; just his way of saying ‘welcome back'.
(Or perhaps ‘this is what you're missing', since his kiss had quite
an effect on her, too!) | An early UXM (#?) had a brief cameo of two men
named "Stan" and "Jack". (Get it? Stan Lee and
Jack Kirby.)  I thought this was
a cute in-joke, as well as an acknowledgement
that the X-Men had changed somewhat since their inception. |
