Introduction:
Remote Authenticator for XSEC-2.1 can work across a network provided a
server machine runs the XSEC Authentication Server. The requirements for a Machine for
running XSEC remote Authenticator are:
A good
quality Microphone.
A
camera with resolution 320 X 240.
How to test Remote
Authenticator?
Step I: Check if
XSEC Authenticator server is running? If not, then user will have to run the
XSEC Authentication Server manually.
Step II: Run Remote Authenticator. The panel shown below will be
prompted. User will be required to supply the Login ID along with the XSEC
Server IP. If the XSEC Server is running o the local computer then Server IP
will be 127.0.0.1 else user will have to supply a valid Server IP. Status
label will show the current status of the Remote Authenticator.

Stage III: After
login data is submitted, Remote Recognizer will be open as shown below.
Similar to the Training session, Authentication session also has two
separate phases. Basis of the authentication will only be Face and voice
features of the user. Hence, user is required to submit 1 picture and a
voice sample. Please follow the steps stated below in order to complete the
Authentication phase successfully.

1. Fix up the face as
instructed in the
training session.
2. Click on the "Take Face Snap Shot" button the take a snap-shot.
3. There is a sentence flashed on the text area whose words are separated by
"-".
4. Click on the "Start Recording Voice" button to start recording the
sentence while keeping the instructions stated in the
training session in
the mind.
5. Click on the "Submit" button to submit the feature data to the XSEC
Server.
If the user has been
Authenticated, then a positive message will appear in a message box, else a
negative message will appear in the message box that will be flashed after
the feature submission.
