Charter

We come together as a group of adventurers who see in eachother Truth, Justice, Comraderie, and similar goals. This guild is of a republic nature and is ran as such. Councilmembers and the Leader of the House were elected by the members for their commitment, good deeds, and proven leadership skills. Council and Leader positions are held for the lifetime of the Guild or until council sees fit. Minor Guild decisions and diciplinary actions will be delt with by the council on a 2/3 vote. Major decisions will be decided on by the member majority vote. As our guild grows, new councilmembers may be created and assistants to those councilmembers. Council members and above are encouraged to respect other council members and other members...for no member, councilmember or leader, is greater than another. This constitution is a work in progress and may be changed by majority vote of the members.

As our guild grows and our forces roam the lands, coordinated attempts will be made to encroach upon the most coveted secrets that our world has to offer. The darkest and most dangerous lands shall be our home.

Our Guild shall be fair and just.

We shall not allow fear nor weakness among our ranks nor in others.

We shall seek to establish peace with our adversaries, whether through diplomacy or war.

All members shall strive to uphold the honor of the Guild.

Our Guild shall abide by a code of Merit, Skill, and Service with members being judged regularly by such measures in order to determine their influence within the guild. This is a basic philosophy that must be understood by all councilmembers, officers, and regular members of the House. Role-play is also greatly encouraged being that our Guild exists on the only Role-Playing server.

Guild Structure

go back

There will be a structured hierarchy within the guild that will enable us to more effectively manage and oversee guild activities. This hierarchy will consist of five Councilmembers to start. Their Offices will consist of the following: The Leader of the House, Office of Raids, Office of Quests, Office of Treasurer and Office of Diplomacy. The Guild Leader and councilmembers will be of voted positions for life only to lose position by choice or by need of disipilinary action which consists of repeated actions considered disonorable to the Guild and consistant failure to perform duties required by position. When a councilmember loses a seat or a new seat is in need to be created, the general congregation of members will appoint up to 3 candidates for the open council seat. Those 3 candidates will be voted on one week's time from the announcement of their candidacy. If the Leader of the House is voted out of his position, he shall hand over the title to the candidate selected by the members in the same manner as council positions. If the Treasurer is voted out of their seat, they will return banked items to their previous owners for them to decide to redeposit or not. So this is a warning to all members, choose your councilmembers WISELY!!!!When a position is open...it is up to the other council members to pick up the slack.

The Five Orders

go back

This is a system that will allow our members to more frequently accomplish their goals with guild-specific help. This can be accomplished by creating additional "sub-orders" based on LEVEL and Class. Now, keep in mind that it may take some time to recruit enough worthy members in order to have leaders or key people within these Orders. Here is an illustration of other councilseats we may create within our guild:

-Lord of Arms, Overseer of Magi, Magistrate of Lore, Officers of Seasons

  • Order of Arms - Lead by our Lord of Arms
  • Warriors, Monks, Paladins, Rangers, Rogues
  • Order of Magi - Lead by our Overseer
  • Wizards, Magicians, Enchanters
  • Order of Lore - Lead by our Magistrate of Lore>
  • Druids, Bards, Clerics, Shaman
  • Order of Seasons - An Order of sub-groups based on Level::
  • Levels 5-10 Order of Acolytes
  • Levels 11-20 Order of Enlightenment
  • Levels 21-30 Order of Passage
  • Levels 31-35 Order of Attainment
  • Levels 36-40 Order of Dawn
  • Levels 41-45 Order of Eventide
  • Levels 46-49 Order of the Vener
  • Levels 50+ Order of Champions

  • I am hoping that this philosophy of Order will inspire our members to frequently seek companionship among peers within the same Order. Furthermore, this will help us to better classify our members when planning guild activities. We will personally keep a list of all members and the Orders to which they belong, and will update them on our website. Once our guild grows satisfactorily, our Council will help greatly in planning Level-specific raids and other such things. Councilmembers and officers and future councilmembers and officers are HIGHLY encouraged to learn other languages so that not only will recruitment of worthy candidates is easier but also diplomacy toward other guilds is more easily handled.

The philosophy behind this hierarchy is simple: Players of each class generally have different goals in the game, so by assigning specialization among our officers based on character Class will allow us to more effectively meet the needs of individual members and will hopefully create a strong fellowship within the Guild. Other possibilies of council seats could be Guild Blacksmith, Jeweler, ect.

    Let's Have Fun!

    go back

As members of this Guild, we each have responsibilities to help our guild grow and prosper. Upon recruitment, all members must understand that the Council and it's officers shall do their best to help when they can, but officers and members are never REQUIRED to help other members. Our members will help because they WANT to, not because they are required or expected to. The philosophy behind our Guild is one of REWARD. As we all know, guilds exist to bring together players with similar Goals and Ideals. Our Goal is to help and encourage our members to excel in their chosen profession so that they can more effectively contribute to the greatness of our House. Our Ideal is to create a Guild of lasting Friendship, Honor, and Commitment. When all is said and done, however, remember that there is one thing that we shall seek more than anything else: FUN!

    Immediate Goals

    go back

It will take time for our guild to grow. We must have priorities to make the growth of our guild prosperous and enjoyable for all members. Our first priority is to recruit an array of quality members so that we may plan bigger and better guild events. Officer status will be considered for any given member based on merit, skill, and service and they will be chosen by the Council. Good communication and leadership skills are essential to officers within our guild. Generally, a member should attain at least 10th level before being considered for officer status. Our second priority is to recruit members who play fairly and with good taste. We all know what it's like to get KS'd, spammed, or excessive foul language, and these kind of activities will be extremely undesirable among our members.

    Recruiting

    go back

We need to expect our officers to have good judgement when bringing in new recruits. All new members are urged to send an e-mail to the Guild Webmaster (xsatyrx@yahoo.com), which contains their Name, Class, Level and Race within a few days of joining. This is so I may include them on our roster. Officers should strive to recruit members similar to their own level and/or class. Councilmembers shall always have the final say in disputes involving the recruitment or removal of members.

    The Guild Vault

    go back

Items that are contributed by members shall be kept in a Guild Vault. Items that are not immediately usable or desirable, or if deemed virtually useless by its owner, should either be sold by its owner or contributed to the Guild Vault. Decisions to sell, trade, or give items from the Vault to others shall be made by existing members of the council and its Officers and/or the original contibutor. These items shall be kept by the Treasurer and when needed by the Councilmembers, all of whom are bound by oath to serve our House in this capacity with the utmost honesty and integrity. if there is a dispute over a particular item, the original owner or, if not available, the council shall have final say pertaining to it's deployment among our ranks. In honor of our code of Reward, we shall allow members of similar Class and Level to duel in mortal combat for rights to certain items as they become available. This will never be mandatory, however, and the most appropriate members of our Order shall be considered for each item contained in the Vault. But first and foremost, Service and Honor shall play the biggest role in deciding candidates for items in our cache.
