FAQ
x I am scanning but there is no information at all. What's wrong? Maybe your firewall is set up to block packets to ports 137-139 or to block NetBIOS packets completely. Some providers block these packets themselves without telling its users. Try using the program with a different internet service provider.
x I work behind the firewall and program fails to operate correctly. How can I safely configure it? You have to add 4 rules: 1) Allow outgoing UDP packets to reach
the 137th port of any remote computer.
x I am scanning my own LAN, but at the "Scanner" tab there are resources of only Windows 9x computers. And I know that there are few Windows 2000/XP computers in my LAN, but I can't see their resources! You have to enter the correct login and password at the "Settings" tab.
x Does xSharez Scanner support NAT (Network Address Translation)? Yes.
x
