Chapter Six:Truths Betreyal
everyone lies. but why? the truth is painful. they know it hurts her, but do nothing. simply sit there and pretend it isnt happening. why? because its so much easier that way. She knows cutting is bad for her health. but she does it anyway. why? because its so much easier that way. they know she cuts herself, but they dont say anything to her. why? because it hurts them to know its true. when one person knows, its alright. it seems as if it isnt true. because no one can verify that it is. no witnesses. they talk to thers in suspicion. she lies to them. trying to prevent contradiction. one lie leads to another lie until all we are is lies. they ask him to talk to her. someone they dont know. why? because they can then deney it. say "they cant trust him, he could be lying to them" but really they are lying to themselves. he takes her intoa room. asking her question after question. she fills out a form. thinking to herself can i be truthful? can i trust him? no, of course not. why should i? she lies and moves on . gets undressed. he examines her. searching for bruises, cuts scratches and scars. nothing found. carefully hiddne. he looks at her wrists. pauses for a moment, and he knows. covered up by a piece of cloth. whats this? a bracelet she replies. "oh" says he, and moves on.. eyes, ears, nose mouth, getting dressed. covered in fear. what happens next? he comes back and gives her a test. and leaves again. alone. always alone. she reads it carefuly and does her best to become the illusion they want her to be. he comes back once again. hmm. interesting. she seems to be fine. according to the results she is perfect. sitting down they converse socially. he asks her about school, about home about friends. then gets to the subject of depr3ession. are you depressed? do you cut yourself? no, she answers. nodding his head fear in her mind. they must not know whats hidden behind these eyes. he leaves again. never to return he talks to them, they seem concerned. they want to help but do they really? of course not. lies everywhere, no one to care. they talk to him and he talks to them but never communicating to each other. information processed unsure of how much to share. can anyone really be trusted? no, never. how can they expect her to communicate with them when they refuse to do so with her. go ing home to where she belongs once again lost and alone she cannot go on. with them knowing. with everyone knowing. it kills her. they shouldnt know. scores are kept for a reason. so she locks it up. throws it away. happy again. not sincerely but its better than nothing. some may question her like an acress in a film. shes locking herself away. the truth shall not prevail. there will never be a right or a wrong. nor a good or a bad. simply what is expected and will that be enough? they think not. never telling the truth. never communicating. avoiding the subject a million times. never getting to the point. i am her. she is i. and you will never know who we really are. the key is lost we cannot be opened my lies spread and i cry all night, but you will never know.
