Narusegawa Mei, is the younger sister of Naru (who's information can be located
on the navigational toolbar). We are not introduced to Mei, until the final
episodes of Love Hina. Although, she does not show up until the end, she makes
a huge impact on the story.
Why does she show up so late in the series? Mei wants desperately to bring
Naru back home. However, Naru doesn't want to go back home due to issues of
the past. Mei does all that she can to try to bring Naru home. She utilizes
several means to try to accomplish her objective. Through careful observation,
she concludes that the reason for Naru wanting to go to Toudai is to "meet
boys". She uses several methods to try to get Keitaro and Mutsumi together.
Why does she do this? It's because she cares for Naru a lot. Mei doesn't look
out for herself and does not think of herself as number one...she cares for
Naru.
Character Note: Mei is not featured in the Love Hina manga. However, Akamatsu-san
and Iwasaki-san wanted the Anime to reflect more on the girls problems. So
Iwasaki-san decided to come up with a sister that he would like and that is
how we have Mei.
