We first see Otohime Mutsumi when Keitaro runs into her on
the day of the Toudai Entrance exams. At first, we think Mutsumi looks dead
on the way her eyes dialated. However, we find out she is fine.
Mutsumi is a very interesting character. The first thing you will notice is
that she resembles Kasumi Tendo from the series Ranma 1/2. Mutsumi is a very
nice character, she is the epitimy of the nice character. The most interesting
aspect of Mutsumi is that fact that she is prone to faint at random times.
Mutsumi is a second year ronin in the beginning of the series. She is a ronin
because of the fact that she faints as any given time. She fails the exams
because she either has to be taken to the hospital or she forgets to put her
name on her exam. Do not mistake her for being a baka (idiot), she is extremely
smart. Mutsumi had perfect grades through high school and she doesn't even
try as much as Naru does.
Later in the series we find out why Mutsumi is trying for Toudai. Mutsumi
says that a long time ago she made a promise (Yakusoku) to a boy she really
liked that they will meet once again when they get into Toudai. The only problem
is that she doesn't remember his name.
