Although Aoyama Tsuruko is shown several times during the original twenty-four
episode series, her name is never mentioned nor does she have a face. The
original series tells very little about Tsuruko except several facts. The
first being that she is Motoko's older sister and that she married a man thus
leaving the the life of the sword behind.
Before leaving the life of the sword, Tsuruko taught Motoko all about the
sword and guided her through her youth. However, Tsuruko fell in love and
left the traditions of her family to Motoko. Before leaving, Tsuruko and Motoko
made a special promise that would lead to the fulfillment of the Aoyama sword
legacy. However as time pasts by quickly, Tsuruko's skills remain intact.
Tsuruko is still the strongest of the Aoyama line and when she comes what
will happen to Motoko? How will escape her fate? All questions are answered
in the 25th installment of the Love Hina series.
