Chapter 9 – Ninja secret
Sub-Zero, a well dressed blue robed fighter with mystical freezing powers, though from the Liu Kuei, has a special order to aid Shang Tsung in his thoughts to win this tournament. Sub-Zero has something else that has been hidden from Shang Tsung. As he knows, Sub-Zero is the plan to assassinate Shang Tsung himself before the tournament reaches its conclusion. Sub is one of the best and will see to it that his job is fulfilled.
Now the other ninja, Scorpion holds a different story. He is here to assassinate someone but its not Shang Tsung. You see, Scorpion isn’t exactly alive. He’s a Shinobi out to take revenge on a person that is responsible for his death. Though dressed in an Liu Kuei attire, he mocks them with the yellow color. He is after Sub-Zero and planning to assassinate him.
Sub-zero is battling a peon that thinks his all powerful. A battle ensues and Sub kills the person with an ice blast, similar to the first fight of the tournament. Scorpion hides in the shadows awaiting for him to be weary for kill. Sub-Zero then walks towards Shang Tsung as he sees them walking past. He bows and sends his condolences to Shang and Shang blesses him with good greetings. Scorpion was still watching his target but something caught his eye and a figure came into view. The figure is dressed in what to be a red ninja outfit and Scorpion wondered a little bit. He headed for the being and then started to pursue it. Scorpion ran with all his might but the being was simply too fast for him and then Scorpion realizes that he lost his sight of Sub-Zero.
Retracing his steps he saw a person run at him in such manner that seemed aggressive.
“Great… Another unskilled fighter.” Scorpion looked up and saw a village fighter running at him.
Scorpion stuck his hand out and a spear came out of his hand and impaled the opponent. The opponent felling face first begging for his life and Scorpion walked over and picked him up, also in an aggressive manner. Scorpion took off his mask slowly to reveal that his face is actually a skull. Fire burned his his now lit up eye sockets and the fighter begged for extreme mercy but Scorpion didn’t care and liquid fire streamed out of Scorpion’s mouth and incinerated the fighter.
Scorpion put his mask back on and then heard a rustle behind him. Scorpion looked and saw a figure run past a couple of rocks.
“This being annoys me… SHOW YOURSELF!” Scorpion bellowed.
Nothing but silence, Scorpion then hears another crackle. He turns and pursues that crackles and the being takes up. Scorpion has plain view of the being and he was as he saw him before, dressed in a red outfit.
Scorpion throws out his spear and it somehow throws itself back at Scorpion, which he dodges. All of a sudden, Scorpion sees a huge rock coming straight at him and it connects. Lights out for now.
