How and why this wee leprechaun soiree came to be:
'Twas the summer of 2003 when Tony Haakenson and Alex Cram chose to rent what they thought to be a cheesy horror flick on an uneventful night. The title: "leprechaun 3" in Vegas. The impact it had on us: it changed our lives. Once we saw the third movie, we soon realized that Warwick Davis (the leprechaun) and his genious producers didn't make the leprechaun movie series to scare us, but to give us something new. To back up this hypothesis, we rented leprechaun movies 1-5 (6 wasn't out at the time). During these movies we subjected ourselves to unprecedented humor, intricate rhymes, and one hell of a fantastic midget playing the part of a gold thirsty, love hungry leprechaun. This is what proved our hypothesis, that this series of movies could provide a unique style of entertainment day in and day out and spark ideas in the minds of its viewers.
What it led to:
First, Alex and I immediately began to improve our leprechaun skills by talking in ryhme. We chose to make AIM names and take on the personalities of crazed leprechauns, similar to how warwick Davis acted in the movies. At first, the girls thought it was cute, funny and creative and the guys simply couldn't match our pristine talk in rhyme sessions. Once they realized that they weren't going to figure out our true identities and that we weren't going to quit taking on the roles of disgruntled leprechauns, a mutual feeling swept across boys and girlies equally: one of fear and disgust. Once we realized this, we soon ended our crusade and made sincere apologies to all of them. This was the end of our online fun, and was the beginning of a leprechaun dry spell lasting roughly six months.
One day in February I was sitting in math class dicussing what powers leprechauns posses with a few classmates. How the conversation began still remains unknown to me. It caused me to reminis and I soon missed the endless laughs I had while watching the leprechaun movies. Later that day I mentioned leprechauns to Alex which ignited the idea formulating part of my brain. I then asked Alex if a leprechaun soiree sounded like it might be fun. HEHE, guess what, he concurred and we began the planning. Many of my friends dont know about my going all out attitude; I cant stand half assing things. This is why the soiree was such a success.
The soiree!:
The evening of the soiree was well planned. There was about 25 guests invited and 20 who showed. All but 2 came in the proper attire, the color green. Gold and green food and beverages were served, and the house was decorated to a tee. At the party we watched leprechaun 3; Alex and I thought it appropriate to have them watch the first one we watched. We also played a couple games that we made, Leprechaun Twister and Pin the panties on the nude leprechaun. Both games were a hit. We later had ballroom dancing to get sweep the women off their feetsies and irish folkmusic to show of our Leprechaun pride.
And to lighten the mood of the party, Alex and I streaked. Overall, the soiree was a huge success. I always have friends asking me when the next soiree will be.
Future soirees:
As of right now, mike, alex and i have 2 soirees planned. One is in May and is titled "The post prom formal dance soiree" It is suggested that each person wear a dress, tux, or a creative home made outfit.
The other party will be in the summer and will have a Hawiian theme. These parties are invite only, so if youd like to go just ask.
