Frequently Asked Questions

Here are our most asked questions

Q. 1. "Are/Did so and so, etc. dating/date?"

A: While we spent a lot of time on the YA set, getting to know the cast and crew last summer, the actors' private lives are a mystery to us and still remain one. So, sorry, we don't know if anyone dated anyone and their private lives should remain private.

Q. 2. "Can I PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE use your pictures for my site?"

A: The answer to that is a big fat NO! We're sorry, but this was a tough group decision we made. The pictures are for VIEW only and for the fellow fans of "Young Americans" to enjoy. If we see our pics on your website, we will ask you take them down!!!

Q. 3. "I won't use the pictures for any website, just for my scrapbook, or my wall shrine. Can I still have the pictures?"

A. Once again, the answer is NO! The pictures are simply for VIEW only and may not be duplicated or reproduced in any way, even if it is for personal use. We're sorry, but we've had too many e-mails and problems with these pictures already!

Q. 4. "Where was the show filmed? Where can I find these locations?"

A: The show began production (quietly) on Wednesday, May 3, 2000 and ended Wednesday, July 19, 2000. The gas station (exterior and interior), diner (exterior), and town circle (exterior) scenes were filmed in historic Havre de Grace at the intersection of Congress Ave. and Washington Street. The scenes for the diner (interior), dorm rooms (interior), and Rawley schoolrooms (interior) were filmed in a former Proctor & Gamble warehouse in Baltimore city. The Rawley campus scenes (exterior) were filmed on location at a private all-girls school near Towson, Maryland. The lake scenes (exterior) were filmed at the Loch Raven Resovoir near Towson, Maryland.

Q. 5. "Is the gas station still there? Is there really a diner?"

A: Sadly, there was never a gas station or a diner. The gas station is a paint shop (which was converted into the gas station during production). Since then, the gas station set has been torn down and the exterior of the paint shop has been redone. The diner was actually an antique shop (also transformed to look like a Friendly's from the outside during production). The antique shop has since moved back in but the front of the store remains the same. The town circle never existed. The brick layered ground was phony and was painted over after the show was canceled. We hope to have pictures soon of what the area looks like today soon.
