| China is one of the few societies with an extensive history. It all starts about 5000 years ago when rulers first began to unit the many people who populated the Asian continent. In sum the history can be described as a joining of clans, then separation into factions, then a joining again. The greatest prosperity was during the Shang dynasty, although some would argue otherwise. | |

| In ancient days women were second to dust, today Chinese leaders would like you to believe that men and women are equal. But, even if you are a male you have your place in society and you act accordingly. You are submissive to rulers, dignitaries, and the elderly. Pay your respects to those who have lived longer then you, for they are wiser then you. Social security is not paid in the form of money, it is paid in respect and gratitude for all that you have done in the life of the younger generations. | |
