This is a letter of recommendation for Yamandu Ploskonka.

I met Yama while on a VOSH mission to Las Pas, Bolivia in spring of 1999. A team of eye doctors and assistants went to Las Pas to check eyes on school children and the less fortunate. While checking the locals, we accepted help form any person who wanted to volunteer and Yama was one of several people to step forward. We had with us a auto refractor (computer) that would measure the refractive power of the eyes and I taught Yama to operate this instrument in only a few minutes. Not only did he pick this skill up quickly but I then taught him how to interoperate the results and then to prescribe glasses for the simpler cases.

Yama has the skill to do anything that is ask of him. He quickly learns how things are ran and can fix almost anything that breaks down. After several hundred patients had been checked. The auto refractor ran out of paper and we had used all the paper that we had brought with us. Yama took a sample of the specialized paper home with him that night and the next morning he had us several more rolls for us to use. He took a similar product and altered it to fit our refractor.

You do not see this skill and talent in the work force in the US, I know because our office employs 13 people and not one of them is close to his talents. I encourage you to hire Yama, I know you will not be sorry, just look at his web page. He is a man of many skills and will be an asset to any company.
