According to our experience in teaching English as
a second language in our schools, we think that there are many factors lead to
such weakness:
1)English
language is rather practiced by teachers and students. For our teachers, they
rarely speak the language fluently for our students, they have not the
confident to speak English because they are afraid of making mistakes or
perhaps they are shy, so they are in need of the teachers encouragement.
2)Teachers depend only on the guide book
as a main source of teaching his subject. To be a good teacher, it is very
important to use knowledge technology. For students, some of them are lazy.
They depend only on their teachers as the source of information.
3) Some of our teachers are not qualified
to be good teachers,particulary some of those who teach in our primary schools.
He or she make mistakes in pronunciation,
grammar …etc.
So our dear our English teachers , we conclude that the teachers and
the students are responsible for the weak level in teaching and learning
English .
How can we overcome these
difficulties? What are the solutions?
