Nothing to Do October 27, 2002 So last night my brother came up here for Midnight Madness. He had to work so he didn't get here until 11:30, and then basically as soon as he got there we went over to the Mullins Center. We got there as they were anouncing this year's basketball team. It was pretty sweet, they had fireworks and shit and it was a good time. After that there was a slam dunk contest that was also pretty cool. But at 12:30, it was over and we had nothing to do. So we came back to my room and ordered some food and hung around for a little bit. After that we met up with some people Aaron knew from around here and went looking for something to do. It was 2 at this point so I wasn't expecting to find a thing, and I was right until about 3. We were driving around and these girls started talking to us and invited us to join them in their friend's apartment. Well we went over there and it started out to be pretty cool, just a place to sit back and relax instead of just driving around, but then it started to get real fucking annoying. They were drunk as hell and just starting yelling randomly throughout the night, which got old real fast. So after much trying from my brother, we finally got out of there at like 4. Well, because of daylight savings it was really 3, but it's all the same. Then me and my brother just came back here and we went to sleep. Really weird night, but I guess in college you get a lot of those. Hey everyone, I just took a quiz and though you should know the results. So, which Disney Princess are you?
Knock Knock... What the Fuck do you Want? October 25, 2002 What is it today? Everyone is knocking on my door, I fucking feel like Bilbo Baggins. Since I got back from class 5 different people have come to my room asking one thing or another. First was Robin asking how to get to the mall, and then came Sereena and Duarte asking for Physics help, and then Sarah asking if I wanted her ESPN Magazine. Of course the reason I am writing is not because of them, but because of the last person that just came here. I am sitting here listening to the a cappella version of Footloose when someone knocks on my door. Me thinking it's Sereena again with more physics questions doesn't bother to turn down the music, but of course it's not, I'm not that lucky. This girl from my physics class whom I've never seen before came here asking for the practice problems from today's class. She was really good looking, and here I am listening to Footloose, needless to say I was a little embarassed. But she came in and got the problems and introduced herself as Shahar, at least I think that's what it was, I can never remember these things, I swear I have alzheimers. And a further note, I had to ask someone what the disease was where you can't remember anything because I couldn't remember the name of it.
A beautiful Lecture October 24, 2002 Hey guys, sorry for the late update but I've been kinda lazy. Anyway, John Nash, the inspiration for the movie "A Beautiful Mind" was at UMass today giving a lecture in Economics. It was at 4 PM, but for some reason I thought it was at 4:30, so at 4, I finally relized I was wrong and started rushing over there so I wouldn't miss it. Well about half way there I saw Jason Surprise and he stopped me and asked if I was going to see him, I said yes, and he told me not to bother because the place was packed. He said that the Campus Center Ballroom was packed tight and people were looking in windows and every room that had a T.V. in it was standing room only. So I went back to my room and watched some of his lecture there. Well, I don't know anything about Economics so most of it I didn't understand, but this guy is amazing, I mean, he really is a genius. Not the best public speaker, but still amazing to actually see him. I was pissed I was going to actually see him, but I'll live. Anyway, Dave tickets go on sale this Saturday at 9 AM, so I have to wake up early to get them. I'm going to go see them at Madison Square Garden because that's the closest they'll be. I'm going to see them with Becky, the girl from Elm's College. And the later in this month I'm going to see STOMP at the Find Arts Center with Becky as well. Also on November 2, Longmeadow High School Lyrics is comming to the Fine Arts Center, so I have to get a ticket for that too, that's only 3 bucks though. And then Jason Seigel called and told me him and couple girls wanna come down and see John Mayer. I NEED A JOB. I am desperate. After Sunday I'm going to the Dining Commons to get a job, I swear, I need money. Anyway, I'm gonna get going, I have a whole lot of nothing to catch up on.
FIRE!!!! October 18, 2002 Last night there was yet again another fire alarm in Washington. This time it was at 12:45 rather than 1:30 like a few days ago. I mean, this is really starting to become a habbit. A few days ago our dryer went haywire and starting steaming and smoking setting the fire alarm off, this time there was actually a fire on the 10th floor. It wasn't that big, but it still took them about an hour before we could go back into the building. So I went over to Patterson to see if Karen was in her room but the shade was down so I couldn't see, besides I couldn't find any small rocks to throw. I mean, that first floor window is high off the ground. The light was on but I didn't wanna disturb her roommate in case she was doing something. I don't know what you girls when you're alone, but us guys, yeah, well anyway. I was online last night and got a bunch of MP3's of Davespeak, one particularly funny one about neuticles. If anyone wants it let me know, I'll send it to you. There is also a Casino Night tonight at the Campus Center so I'm gonna ask Jimbo if he wants to go to that tonight, cause he's gonna be home this weekend. Anyway, that is all for now, goodnight.
NYU? October 16,2002 Today is gonna be really short but could the person from NYU please identify yourself? I can't figure out who you are since I don't know anyone that goes there. Thanks.

One Sweet Whirled College Tour October 11, 2002 "If green should slip to grey, But our hearts still bloody be, And if the mountains crumble away, And the river dry, Would it stop the stepping feet." The Dave Matthews Band teamed up with Ben & Jerry's and SaveOurEnviroment.org to help reduce the threat of global warming throughout our world. All the band's royalties will go to the Bama Works Foundation for legislation to reduce the emission of CO2 gas. The reason I bring this up is because One Sweet Whirled is doing a college tour, giving out ice cream and little pamphlets telling about what it's all about. So click the link below if you want to find out more. Also today Congress voted 296-133 approving
to use force against the Iraqi regime. President Bush will continue to
talk with the UN and idealy get their support before doing anything. China,
Russia, and France at this point doubt the need for military force but
the United States and Britain feel that it is necesary before it is too
late. If need arises, the US will circumvent the UN and proceed on it's
own against Iraq and Saddam Hussein.
The Perfect Ending to a Shitty Day October 10, 2002 English is cancelled today!!!! Sweeeeet! Anyway, I was actually going to write about my day yesturday. It was such a horrible day, well, most of it anyway. I woke up at 8 o'clock for math class at 9, then right after that, I had physics at 10:10. I got a nice little break there, but then at 1:25 I had music which was rather easy, we just finished watching a video on Bach. Right after that I had my physics lab, which always sucks, and this time, it sucked even more. We were doing a lab on friction and the teflon surface we were using kept giving us the strangest results and we thought that we were pretty much screwed. Well, it turned out that our cofficient of friction came out to be pretty close to what it was suppose to be, so it kinda made up for us thinking that we were fucked the whole class. After that the day got a lot better when I went to the library to study. First off, I couldn't find the entrence, I mean, I had never been to the place. Then when I actually found my way in, I discovered that the elevators are so much better there then in the towers. I got to the 13th floor in 5 seconds, here it takes 50. Well, I got out and found Karen, who I was going to study. Whoops, I mean study with... Anyway, we went over some math problems to study for the test at 7, and we finished early, so we just sat there and talked a little bit. At 6:30 we left for the test and got there by 6:40. We just kinda hung around, and let me tell you, that test sucked. There were 7 questions and I spent about an hour on one, and still didn't get it. So I don't really know how I did, not too too good. After that it was about 8:30 and I was hungry as hell because I didn't have time to eat dinner before. So I asked Karen if she wanted something to eat, so we went to her room and got some Wings, watched Aladdin, one of the greatest movies ever, and then some of her friends came in and we watched Billy Madison, another great movie. So I got back around 12:30 and just kind of hung around for a little bit before I went to sleep. And that was my day yesturday. I am going home this weekend and comming back here on Sunday, so I probably won't update again until either Sunday or Monday. Oh and by the way, I'll try to get some pictures up here cause I know it's more fun to look at pictures for all those reading impared people out there.
Why Do I Do This? October 8, 2002 Hey everyone, I have nothing at all to update about now but Laura really wanted me to update and she sent me a picture of herself, so I guess I have to, but it's probably gonna be pretty short. I'd put the picture of her up here, but she told me not to, probably because it looks like a picture of her breasts and some other girls ass. Which probably makes most of you want to see it even more, sorry. I have my Math exam tomorrow, fun fun. I am actually going to study for this one, not for any academic reasons though, a girl in my math class asked me to study with her, what, am I gonna say no? Not a chance. I probably won't even get to eat dinner, my lab ends at 4:30 and the exam is at 7, so we gotta get crackin'. And speaking of that lab, I just finished my lab report which only took me about 2 1/2 hours. And another thing, I finally did laundry today, I had nothing at all to wear today cause I hadn't done my laundry in so long, but I finally did it. The dryer was pissing me off, it was telling me that it was closed, and it wouldn't let me dry my clothes. And then later, it told me the dryer was in use when it wasn't. Why can't they make things that work, honestly?
Patriots Suck Again? October 6, 2002 Well last night was fun, some friends from my high school came up, Kerry Shea, and Alyson Quinn came up because they were going to the Counting Crows concert at the Mullins Center. So we hung out for a little bit before which was fun. Then they went to the concert and I sat here in front of the computer doing nothing. At about 12 I went next door and hung out there for an hour or so and then came back here to go to sleep because I was tired as hell. Friday I went to the mall with my friend Becky from Elm's, and went for an interesting drive. Somehow we ended up on Soapstone mountain in Somers CT, and if you're reading this Kayla, it's that night with all the dirt roads and we had no idea where we were. Anyway, Pats game is on now, and they are fucking this up, they are shitting like they did years ago with Grogan. I just looked at the score, they're down about 20 with 8 minutes to go, they lost. Well, that just completes the continued shittiness that is my life. Well not really, but it sucks. I have a math test this week on Wednesday which is probably going to be pretty easy, so I hope I do well on that, and my friend Laura just informed me that a ton of my friends from High School are going to be home this weekend, so, I guess I'm going home.
Rejected October 3, 2002 So last night was probably one of the worst nights of my life. There was a girl that I was interested that I found out last night had a boyfriend. So that kinda sucked, I don't think i'ev ever liked a girl that doesn't have a boyfriend. And then there is this other girl that I really care about, her name is Kayla. Anyway, she came up here last weekend as you all know and I hate it, because everytime she comes up I remember how much I care for her, but she has a boyfriend. Well I was talking to my friend Dave Ernst, and he said that I should tell her how I felt, just in case I never had the chance to tell her again. So that was a few days ago. Well last night Kayla IM's me telling me her and boyfriend broke up. At this point I was amazed because I really thought they would be together forever. Well, it turns out that he cheated on her twice and then broke up with her last Monday. I didn't know what to tell her really, I mean in my opinion she shouldn't take him back if he wants it, it just seems like he knew what he was doing. Well, she's not so sure, and I know where she is coming from, I mean she's loved this kid for years and he means a lot to her. So this is going to be a tough one and I have no idea how it's gonna turn out. They'll probably end up going out again in a few days, that seems to be the way it works when a guy breaks up with a girl, they never stay away for long. And last night I tried to give her advice which I probably shouldn't have done, I know that now, but I hate to see her being hurt. So anyway, that was my shitty night, hopefully tonight will be better.
I Love ---- Part 2 October 2, 2002 So today is wednesday, which means my day sucks. I have 3 Classes and a lab, and that's not really a lot, but it is my worst day. Tomorrow on the other hand, I don't have a class until 7:30 PM for various reasons. So tonight is going to be a late night, just me and my pint of guinness. I had to change my September 27th entry because said girl that I was talking about now has access to my website, which I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but she does. So therefore, for fear of God knows what, I took anything about of the entry that could link it to her. So if you read it before, all the missing words will now have dashes in them, hence the "I love ----." And by the way, if you're wondering where my September entries went, they are in Past Issues section in the lower left. |
