Introduction
太平洋戦争が終結し、十年が経過した頃。
10 years have passed, since the ending of World War 2
人の身でありながら、異形の姿や力を持つものが現れ始めた。
People, being human, yet bearing abnormal appearances and abilities, had started appearing.
彼らは『人妖病』に罹患した『人妖』と判断され、その他多くの『人間』たちから忌み嫌われた。
They are designated as "Jinyou"s, people who are infected with the "Jinyou disease", and were being feared and hated by the rest of the many "Humans".
彼らの存在を憂慮した日本政府は、とうとう地方の一都市『神沢市』に人妖を隔離することを決定する。
The Japanese government, concerned for the existence of the Jinyous, decided to gather and concentrate the jinyous in one city "Kamizawa city" in order to separate them from the normal people.
武部涼一という少年がいた。
There was a youth named Takebe Ryouichi.
人妖であった彼は、その秘めた危険性ゆえ『人妖都市・神沢』ではなく、孤島の病院への隔離を余儀なくされた。
As a Jinyou, due to an inherent danger in his abilities, he is not sent to the Jinyou city Kamizawa, but was quarantined in a hospital on a lone island.
そこで彼は『すず』と出会う。様々な人間が彼から離れていこうとも、彼女だけはずっと涼一と共に在った。
There, he met with "Suzu". When people distanced themselves from him, she was the only one who was always together with him.
だが、ある事件を起こした涼一はすずと共に病院を脱走することになる。
But, due to an occurance of a certain event, Ryouichi was able to escape from the hospital with Suzu.
二人は如月双七、如月すずと名前を変え『人妖都市・神沢』に潜り込んだ。
Both of them changed their names to "Kisaragi Soushichi" and "Kisaragi Suzu", and sneaked into the Jinyou City Kamizawa.
外周を巨大な防壁で囲まれた、人妖の、人妖による、人妖のための都市。
Surrounded by a huge perimeter wall, It is a city for Jinyous, run by Jinyous, for the sake of Jinyous.
憧れていた平穏な日常や学生生活に浸る双七――他人にはどんなにちっぽけに見えても、彼にとってはかけがえのない大切なものだった。
Soushichi, being immersed in the peaceful everyday life and school life that he so longed for --- no matter how small other people think of this, to Shoushichi, this is a very important thing that cannot be substituted.
だが、すずの『ある秘密』を目的とし、政府機関や邪な存在たちが彼女を付け狙う。
But, Government agencies and Evil beings have their eyes on Suzu for "a certain secret".
ちっぽけな夢と愛する人たちを護るために、如月双七の戦いが今始まる。
For the sake of protecting the modest dream and the people he loves, Soshichi's battle is beginning.
