Town Late Show
Two late goals from Jason Burnham and Dennis Bailey gave Halesowen a deserved win on a very difficult pitch against Clevedon Town. In other news Brendan Phillips has been in Jamaica over the past few weeks due to family commitments and the games against Cirencester and Weston at home were rained off. The Yeltz are through tothe Worcs. Senior Cup semi-final against Moor Green thanks to a Jason Burnham goal in the 1-0 win over Evesham United.
Tigers Tamed by Yeltz
Halesowen went into the 2-0 victory over Gloucester without Dennis Bailey but still produced an inspired performance. With results going our way Halesowen are now a healthy ten points clear of the chasing pack.
At Last! Town Beat Bilston.
Halesowen finally beat Bilston for the first time in three years after a 3-0 victory. It also appears Brendan Phillips has signed up his 17 year old son Kelvin - a striker previously with Rushden & Diamonds.
Adders no Match for 5 Star Yeltz
Halesowen remained in pole position as the year draws to a close with a 5-2 victory at Atherstone United. I am trying to getideas in order to improve the site over the close season so if you have any ideas to improve the site mail me!

Town Four Clear
Halesowen Town continued their good form against Shepshed. Town are now 4 points clear at the top having now played one more game than Chippenham Town. Tuesday's game at Bedworth United is OFF, they play Gresley Rovers after today's game was called off. It appears we have not signed John Grant but have signed Lee Ross from the troubled Bloxwich United for an undisclosed 4 figure sum. Supposedly Kerry Giddings has joined Redditch United on-loan after being told he has no future at The Grove but looking at Redditch's web site it appears Stourport are also after Kerry.
Top!
After the disappointment of Saturday it was nice to gain 3 points, especially in the way we did with a 3-2 win over Stourport Swifts away. Other news sees Bloxwich United resigning from the Dr Martens League, with their results now being void this means Chippenham, Solihull and Clevedon are docked three points. Meaning Town go top having played the same amount of games as Chippenham and Solihull and one less than Clevedon. However Chippenham can go two points clear at the top with a win tonight (Wednesday) at home to fellow title chasers Clevedon Town but would have played a game more than Halesowen.

It also appears we have signed John Grant on loan from Crewe Alex, he is a promising centre forward.
I Suppose it's a Point
Lee Knight returned to Redditch United this week after a brief spell with the club. Also Town drew 0-0 with Warwick and last Tuesday beat Hednesford 2-0 in the Brum Senior Cup.

Meanwhile Evesham are our closest rivals after they defeated Solihull Borough 3-2 at Damson Parkway.

After loosing 1-0 to Wolves in the week, Town bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Clevedon Town. Goals from Jones (82) and Giddings (84) ensured the points. Next Saturday brings Canvey Island to The Grove in the FA Cup, but before that Sutton are the visitors on Tuesday night in the league.
Town stun Green
Goals from Matt Hall and Andy Jones allowed Halesowen to walk away with the spoils in a 2-0 victory over Moor Green in the FA Cup.
Jones Brace Seals 3 Points
Andy Jones scored his first goals since his move from Halesowen Harriers after he netted twice in the 3-0 win over Stourport Swifts. Kerry Giddings was also on the scoresheet.
Wolves to Play Yeltz
Wolverhampton Wanderers will play Halesowen Town on Thursday 4th October to officially open the new floodlights.
The Halesowen 10
Halesowen Town drew 0-0 with Weston Super Mare, but the harsh dismissal of Leroy May proved to be decisive and cost us 2 points. In other news it appears we are playing Wolves first team on 4th October to celebrate the turning on of the new lights.
Another Win
Halesowen continued their fine form as they eased into the FA Cup 2nd Qfy Rd. A 2-0 win over Staveley means a trip to Moor Green. Halesowen are now 6 unbeaten, on a run of 5 win in a row and have gone 4 games without conceding. But now it's been mentioned it's bound to end next week at Weston!
Town hit 4
Halesowen moved into second spot in the DM Western Division with a 4-0 win over Rocester.
May it Carry On!
Leroy May's diving header ten minutes from time sunk a very poor (but commited) Swindon Supermarine in a dull 1-0 win.

Next week we entertain Staveley Miners Welfare at The Grove in the FA Cup. K.O. 3pm The next match is on Tuesday against Rocester at home.

Over the past few days you may have noticed the site has grown in size, please explore the site and take advantage of our new features on offer.
Yeltz Lifeline
Halesowen drew with Chippenham Town 2-2 at Hardenhuish Park on Saturday with goals from Les Hines. However it also appears we have lost Ricky Otto who has failed to agree terms. I belive Monday's home game against Redditch united will kick-off at 7:45 not 3pm.
Yeltz Loose But Deserved To Win
Halesowen town lost 2-0 at Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday night on one of the pooreset pitches in ages. Also this week the site is undergoing a facelift but a normal service will operate as usual.
Yeltz open with a win
Halesowen defeated Gresley 3-0 on Saturday however lost Lee Knight (collar bone) and Mark Taylor (ankle) to injury.
Yeltz get hit for four
Boston United were the visitors to the Grove, beating Town 4-2 on Saturday on Saturday. It also appears Dennis Bailey has LEFT th club again, but I'm sure he'll be back next week!
Yeltz Hold Blues
Dave Barnett and Stewart Hall returned to The Grove as they brought their Birmingham City side down for a 0-0 draw. It is also reported that Halesowen are interested in Kidderminster Harriers' defender Mark Shail.
Barnett Leaves Club
Halesowen Town first team coach Dave Barnett has left the Grove for St. Andrews to take up a post as under 19 coach at Birmingham. This was revealed before Halesowen's 2-1 loss at home to Kidderminster Harriers. Brendan Phillips released the following statement;
" Dave Barnett has departed from his position as Player-Coach at Halesowen Town Football Club to take up a full time appointment as under-19 Academy Coach at Nationwide 1st Division Birmingham City. I would like to wish Dave all the best in his position at the Blues. His work during our time together has been first class and on behalf of everyone at Halesowen Town, I would like to thank him and wish him every success in the future."
Yeltz net five but don't win
Halesowen Town drew 5-5 with Harrow Borough in an eventful fixture at Earlsmead. It also appears that Dennis Bailey will be staying put at The Grove despite reports he had joined former boss Frank Gregan at Aberyswyth Town.
News Updates
Having just returned from holiday I'm not really sure what is going on. I know we beat Stratford 4-1 and the Harriers 4-0 while losing 1-0 WBA. Meanwhile Brendan told Dennis Bailey to sign terms before last Thursday and I don't really know what happened there. Next Saturday brings on Harrow away which is still ON as there was some doubt.
Wood Joins Bilston
Last seasons skipper, Phil Wood has joined local rivals Bilston Town on trial. The 32 year old was previously with The Steelmen and his return will end months of speculation over whom he would join. Incedently Wood has been signed in mind to replace ex-Yeltz defender Neil Manton who has joined Sutton Coldfield Town. Just to let you know the site will not be updated until early August as I am away on holiday.
First Run Out For First Teamers
Brendan Phillips fielded his first team players in the 0-0 draw with Stourbridge on Saturday. The squad included Andy Bradley, Ricky Otto, and new signing from Halesowen Harriers Andy Jones.
General Snippets
Sorry about the delay in the updates recently but my monitor exploded (this is the truth) and I have just got a replacement. Anyway, Tim Clarke has been loaned out to Barry Town for their Champions League fixtures against an Azerjabiani side who they beat 3-0 on aggregate and FC Porto in the next round. The Causeway fixture was dominated by trialists, Halesowen won 2-1 with only Andy Bradley and Clinton Thomas familiar faces in the line-up. The two goals were scored by impressive youngster Alf Carter. There is no match report as I could not tell you who played but I belive there is one at www.yeltzland.net

New Sponsor Decided
Halesowen Town's new main sponsor is Mark Serrel - chairman of Stourbridge FC!! His company "Plumbing World" will feature on the front of next seasons kit. Serrel bought the right for £2000 after previous chairman Ron Moseley won the raffle and auctioned the sponsorship off to raise funds for the club.

Pre-season Transfers So-Far
There has been a lot of wheeling and dealing since the last ball was kicked at the end of the 2000/2001 relegation season. Leaving The Grove will be stalwarts Richard Crisp and Phil Wood. Crisp joined from Telford in 1995 and Wood signed from Pelsall in 1993. Mid-season signing from Inter Cardiff, James Ince has also signalled that he has no intention of staying at Halesowen. Peter Sutton has signed for Solihull Borough and Andy Quy has joined Unibond Division 1 side Belper Town. Jason Owen has been released as well and Wayne Lloyd looks set to leave as well.

According to various scources Dennis Bailey will be staying, but this is not yet confirmed. Andrew Spencer and last term's player of the season, Les Hines have both signed new contracts along with Neil Smith, Jason Burnham, Ross Collins and Stuart Skidmore.

Joining the Yeltz are Redditch United's Matt Hall along with Ross Collins' highly rated brother, Lee from Stoke City. Rumous suggest former Halesowen 'keeper Tim Clarke has re-joined the club. Also joining are Halesowen Harriers' star man Andy Jones and Kerry Giddings from Hereford United.

Clinton Thomas has been invited back for pre-season training. (Left: Kerry Giddings)
