Comments/Memories:

I was in the first graduating class at Richland High School. When we first started in school in September of 1961, all of the classrooms were not finished yet we had to double up in classes, but it was really kinda fun. Most of us had gone to Birdville High (now Haltom High)the year before and so both Haltom and Richland had smaller classes that year, because of the split, we were given the option of graduating from Haltom or Richland, some of the kids actually stayed at Haltom so they could graduate from there. All in all it was a really great year. One of the high-lites was the Haltom-Richland football game, big rivals because we had all gone to school together...
