Living in Richland Hills with my bride of almost 8 years. Raising her two boys (in their 20's), and I have a daughter (15) from a previous marriage. Self-employeed, doing Irrigation repairs and landscaping. And when not doing anything else, we're either working on our house, or hunting, or riding our horses. I also sub for BISD on rainy days. Anyone enterested in two German Shairs (bird dogs) they're for sale! I'm not finacialy rich, but I consider myself very wealthy with the friends and life that I have lived. And I'm happy to have such a great wife to live it up with.

I teach journalism for a college prep school here in Austin. I have been doing this for eight years. I will be retiring this May. The deadlines and publications rigors have gotten the best of me. I want a rest. I will actually be writing some more. I have three sons--23,20,18--and have been happily married for almost 28 years. Ouch. Time flies. I did not graduate from Richland. I moved away in my junior year. I have been wanting to get in touch with Truette Cole (? don't know a married name). She was a friend of mine and I lost touch with her after I moved away from the metroplex area.

I pass the school grounds regularly and it sure has changed from what I remember from 1971. I miss seeing the brick wall at the entrance. I miss seeing the Rebel flag as our symbol. I miss hearing how the RHS Seniors stealing the HHS buffalo head or the HHS Seniors stealing the RHS cannon.

I wonder how I can get a free Rebel Baseball baseball cap?

As I approach "early" middle age, I am still working with my husband, John. We live in Waxahachie and are very involved in our community. It is a small town, but growing fast. (Not as fast as the Richland area). We have 3 new car dealerships, two in Waxahachie and one in Ft Worth. We travel a lot and love it. My son, Sean Cagle, is married with 3 beautiful children. (Being a grandmother is truly the best). He teaches math at the Jr High here in Waxahachie. My daugher, Jennifer, will be graduating from Texas A&M in May,05, and moving to Fort Worth. She is very excited. Jennifer loves Fort Worth.

I live in New Hampshire with my husband of almost 20 years. We have a son Richard-18, and two daughters Charity-16, Martha-10. I work for the University Systems of New Hampshire and my husband is a chemical technician for a circuit board company.

When we are home for a visit I am continually amazed at all the changes around the school. I miss the empty field - the apartments just look out of place!

My memories of Richland seem to stay fresh due to my profession. I have taught math for the past 25 years, the last 13 at Trinity High School in Euless. I also am the Senior Class Advisor and handle all activities for the Senior Class. That means I go to Prom every year! I always knew that I wanted to teach but it was because of Mr. Ron Tillery that I decided to major in math in college. He had a lot of influence on those of us in his classes. A couple of years ago, I welcomed two "new" teachers (both much younger than I) to the THS math department and found out that they too had had Mr. Tillery at Richland. We've been able to share many stories! I have been married for over 25 years to a Haltom Buffalo and am the mother of two boys - Brian (almost 21) and Travis (18). We have stayed in the mid-cities area all of our lives and currently live in Bedford.

work for an air conditioning and heating company in Haltom City. We do new houses and commercial, and also repairs on older houses. I have one daughter who is going to graduate in May 2000 from Richland High School. I went on a field trip last week with the Senior English classes at Richland and had a ball. We went to Medieval Times in Dallas. Mr. Jon Bradford, who was my Government teacher in 1971 was on the field trip, I can't believe he is still at Richland. Well, not much has been going on in my life, I am divorced and just raising my daughter Mindy, and dreading the day that she leaves for college.

My fondest memory of high school was being in Dixie Belles. I loved every minute of it, and especially appreciated our Captain my senior year, Mindy Ratcliff Layfield. She also has a daughter at Richland and I see her all of the time. I loved Richland High School and will always cherish my memories of it.

I am a bookkeeper for Mansfield ISD. I'm married to a wonderful man, who is the head director of bands at Mansfield High School. I have a 28 year old daughter who is a junior executive for a marketing firm. We have a great son-in-law that is almost 7 feet tall. And the most charming 5 year old grandson. I have a really wonderful life and it just keeps getting better every day. I am looking forward to our 30 year reunion and playing catch-up with all my old buds for Richland. Long live Richland and the class of 71.
