EGYPT ALEXANDRIA |
Egypt is full of history, so much that tourists pay little attention to those that are alive and living today. I think they are really missing the point. To me, somehow, Egypt feels very much like my own country, China. |

The beautiful Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi |
An Egyptian goat stared at me as I was trying to focus my camera. What a completely different look from the ones I'm familiar with :) |
Ordinary people live in these not-so-glamourous buildings. Life may not be easy, but they don't lack smiles. |
I tried to order some lunch by pointing this, and that. Didn't exactly got what I wanted, but they were yummy :) |

Looks as if they were playing our Chinese game, majiang. Tea houses are very common around Egypt for a cup of sweet, sweet tea, or to smoke some sheesha. I always had to tell them "No sugar", and I always asked for refills of hot water for my tea. They looked at me as if I were mad. |
Mosques, European buildings, modern transportation, traditional way of life, a bit chaotic, yet full of energy. That's Alexandria, that's Egypt. And by the way, I really love the freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, perfect for a hot summer day. |
