It's 10.45 pm, Friday. There's no one in the lab. There's no classical music in the background. The only sounds I hear at the moment are the clacking of my keyboard, the cranking of my hardisk and the droning of the air-conditioner. I am sitting rather lazily on my chair. Hopefully I won't get a bad back after this...
I was supposed to do some surfing for my supervisor on telemedicine. Unfortunately, after downloading 2 articles, the waves suddenly stopped... and I began to sink... Apparently, surf's only up in USM and my surfboard can't do any surfing elsewhere.
It is a usual practise for me (almost by reflex action) to meddle with my bicycle lock before I mount my bike (i.e. unlock) and leave my bike (i.e. lock it).
So, at 5.30 pm today, I left my lab and returned to Tmn Pekaka. I was due to play tennis at 6pm. I parked my bicycle on the porch. "I shall not lock my bicycle. I won't be going in for long", I thought. I was just going to get changed and grab my tennis racket and tennis balls. After that, I rushed down, wore my shoes and went to my bicycle. I then locked it.
I hope to see you on Sunday morning for campus mass. Until then, take care and may each day in the week be a good day. God bless.
Yours bartly,
Bart
